Whether you’ve got directv like us or you’re rocking basic cable, you’ve got to be looking forward to this weekend. Here are a few of the bowl games we are on the edge of our seats for and why
Auburn vs. Virginia: Virginia has had a year to remember and it’s capping it off with one of the more well-matched bowls in the ring. Auburn is favored by one point only and the War Eagles have had a hard time pushing through as of late. A win here is just what the Cavs need to ring in a new era.
Georgia vs. Michigan State: The Spartans could be a formidable opponent for the Dawgs, but it depends on how on or off either team is. The Bulldogs rallied to end the season strong but a loss at this bowl will erase anyone’s memory of that. They’re controlling their own destiny here.
Alabama vs. LSU: The rematch of theseason? The one’s got to be more high energy than the last and we can’t wait to see if LSU can live up to the hype once more. We’re betting they can.

Wisconsin easily defeated Nebraska and has a relatively easy schedule the rest of the way. They should finish the season undefeated.

The SEC is the best conference in the nation and Alabama is the best team in the SEC. There are several outstanding teams Alabama will play plus the SEC championship game. It is doubtful Alabama can go through that unscathed.

Clemson is undefeated and has already beaten Auburn, Florida State, and Virginia Tech. They should rum the table in the ACC and finish the season undefeated. The ACC is not recognized as one of the premier conferences in football and that will hurt Clemson’s chances.

Boise State has only one major hurdle in TCU. The rest of their schedule is weak and the pollsters will hold that against them. They need some other teams to be upset for them to have a shot.

Oklahoma has the name recognition and the talent to remain at the top of the rankings all year. Their schedule is not nearly as tough as the schedule of Alabama but it is strong enough to keep them from falling in the polls.

It should be Oklahoma versus Wisconsin for the BCS championship with Wisconsin winning a close game.

Is there a team in the SEC that can knock off the Alabama Rolling Tide? Most say no, and they may very well be right. This team has looked absolutely dominate in their SEC play so far. They have rolled over teams that others have struggled to even keep up with. After last night’s 38-10 smackdown of the Florida Gators in the Swamp has left even fewer questions unanswered.

The only team remaining on Alabama’s schedule that would appear to have the firepower to take them on would be the top ranked LSU tigers. Being that the Tigers are in the same division of the SEC as Alabama, this will surely be a huge showdown. The winner of this game may well be the winner of the SEC championship. Since both of these teams are ranked in the top 5, the winner may well be the next national champion as well.

Assuming Alabama does arrive at the SEC championship game, their challenger is less known. At this point in the season, it could be Georgia, South Carolina, or a rematch with the Florida Gators. All of these teams are tied up at the top of the SEC East. It will take some time before one of them emerges as the leader in this division. They will have the honor of facing Alabama, but it is likely that the Tide will continue to roll.

Fans are all asking the same thing: Who Will Win the 2012 Big Ten Championship Game?

With the Legends and Leaders divisions officially a go this year, it’s going to be very interesting to see how things shape up, not necessarily in this year’s Big Ten game, but next years.

Ohio State can’t seem to find an identity this year, Michigan is on the rise and Wisconsin is mowing down every team placed in front of them. Oh, and let’s not forget about Nebraska – the new kid on the block.

Judging by the way things are going, it would seem the Michigan Wolverines are in hot pursuit of claiming the Big Ten title not only this year, but in 2012 as well.

Simply put, the Wolverines are built for success. If their is one candidate for the Heisman in the Big Ten it’s Michigan’s very own Denard Robinson. With his combination of speed, athleticism and leadership; it’s going to be difficult for opposing teams to play to his level.

And now, the Wolverines don’t have to rely solely on Robinson. Junior running back Vincent Smith just had a huge game against Minnesota and continues to shine.

The 2012 season is going to be interesting.

Every year college football teams battle for supremacy and the ultimate goal of BCS Champion. Who will win the 2012 National Championship has begun and one team seems to have shown they have what it takes to win it all. That team is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Last year, under Nick Saban, it was a season that did not meet expectations and so far, they have been making a statement this season.

Alabama this season has made a statement that they are for real. They have one of the top defenses in the country that has been built on speed. It swarms all over their opponents and make it tough for teams to even move the ball consistently. On offense, Trent Richardson has been able to show what an outstanding talent he happens to be. He has been consistent this season and is a load to bring down in the open field.

Nick Saban has the offense and the defense playing well right now. They look a lot like the championship team he had in 2009 that was so dominate. I look for the 2012 National Championship to have an Alabama Crimson Tide ring to it. Unless something changes very fast, Nick Saban will have another National Championship under his belt.
